The Swiss World 1954 World Cup ball was the official match ball of the 1954 FIFA World Cup in Switzerland. This ball that was made of 18 panels of leather with zigzag edges, perfectly interlocked to each other. The ball was manufactured by Kost Sport of Basel, a Swiss company that had been producing balls since 1926. The ball was named after the Swiss World Champion, a model that was used in the Swiss national cup and international competitions since the 1930s.
